Winemaking notes: 50% Tressalier & 50% Chardonnay from an 1-hectare single vineyard on clay and limestone soils. The wine is barrel fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 15 months.
Tasting note: the Saint-Pourçain is medium gold in color with a clean nose of medium intensity with aromas of hawthorn, magnolia, Bosch pear, yellow apple, yogurt, alpine herbs, apple mint, ozone, and petrichor. On the palate this wine is dry with medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium+ flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of mayflower, hawthorn, satsuma, apricot, tangerine, apple, pink ginger, cream, cinnamon, toasted hazelnut, spearmint and Moroccan mint leaves. Drink now through 2029, this Tressalier/Chardonnay blend from the Upper Loire valley is very good: 9.3/10.
