Winemaking notes: 50% Grenache Noir & 50% Syrah from 70-year-old vines. The wine is femented on the skins with some punch down and pump over and extended maceration sand aged for over a year in demi-huit barrels and concrete eggs. Certified organic AB, direct press method. 

Tasting note: the Grande Garde Rouge is medium garnet in color with a clean nose of medium+ intensity with aromas of fresh rose, red currant, framboise, currant leaf and black tea. On the palate this wine is dry with medium acid, medium+ tannin, high alcohol, medium body, medium flavor intensity and a medium+ finish with flavors of rose petal potpourri, framboise, dark red cherry, red licorice, cedar, tobacco, black tea and cinnamon. Drink now through 2030, this red blend from Provence is very good: 9.2/10.
